The U.S. Constitution guarantees free speech, yet social media platforms are impeding this right by suspending and deleting accounts. Advocates for Faith and Freedom has joined Liberty Justice Center in a lawsuit to represent 19-year-old Genevieve Mahoney in Mahoney v. Facebook, contesting censorship of her Instagram content and defamatory statements by Facebook. Genevieve attended a peaceful rally near the White House on January 6, 2021, exercising her First Amendment rights. Despite not entering the Capitol, Facebook labeled her photo of the rally as inciting criminal activity, leading to her Instagram account being deleted. Genevieve, represented by Liberty Justice Center, demands a jury trial and damages for Facebook's false statements and censorship, which violate her constitutional rights.
