Over the past decade, Americans have experienced continuous tyrannical overreach of the government arm. The Government is now dictating individual healthcare decisions, denying families medical and religious freedom.

Can you imagine where we would be if good people and organizations like ours did not stand against the deception at work in the United States? If a California county can spy on a church in this way without limitation, what is to stop the federal government from weaponizing the department of justice in the same way against whatever political organization, rally, or candidate that is not currently in power?

Once again, California is pummeled by a relentless onslaught of bills that seek to dismantle the sacred institution of the family, assail the rights of parents, and mercilessly prey upon children. Though the attack is numerous, we will highlight three alarming bills…

It is no secret that government overreach on religious freedom was unprecedented during the COVID-19 pandemic. Local governments imposed harsh restrictions on religious exercise and even penalized churches for keeping their doors open. Throughout the pandemic, Advocates remained steadfastly committed to defending the right of churches to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, we are thrilled to announce our tireless work paid off, as we were able to secure two successful settlements.  

Religious freedom is the one freedom that safeguards conscience, allows Americans to live out their faith, and makes the nation stronger.  Though it is a fundamental right enshrined in the US Constitution, today there are various factors putting religious freedoms at risk, including discrimination in the workplace, censorship on social media platforms, and government-imposed restrictions during the pandemic. Big tech, employers, and landlords are trampling on the Free Exercise Clause by discriminating against individuals on the basis of their religious beliefs.

State-sanctioned indoctrination has steadily and increasingly pervaded culture and education.  Governments continually seek to undermine the rights of parents, resulting in a disconnect between the values and beliefs of the parents and those of their children. Governments now seek to take the place of parents.

As we all know, during COVID-19 pandemic, California prevented churches from operating and worshiping, while allowing secular entities such as liquor stores, strip clubs, and large stores to remain open.  Despite the Supreme Court holding California’s capacity restrictions on churches unconstitutional, Santa Clara County continued to target churches with punitive fines and even utilized mobile data tracking services to track church congregants.
